Regeneration Outreach Community is encouraging Brampton residents to bundle up and raise money for the Coldest Night of the Year walk. A family-friendly winter fundraising event for Brampton’s homeless, hungry and hurting, the walk takes place on the evening of Feb. 23.
Thousands of participants will be taking part in the walk in over 130 cities across Canada. By walking together in the chill of the night, participants will better understand the experience of being on the streets during a cold Canadian winter, while raising funds to aid the work of Regeneration in providing much-needed support to members of our community. Regeneration served over 57,000 meals to people in need in 2018.
The Brampton walk begins and ends at Century Gardens Community located at 340 Vodden St. E., where walkers will register, turn in the results of their fundraising efforts, and return at the end of the evening for a warm celebration meal. Donning Coldest Night tuques, participants will walk a two-, five- or 10-kilometre route, and will warm up with toasty drinks at rest stops along the way.
